friendly team.
Position Overview: As the Assistant Resort Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the daily
operations of the resort. Working closely with the Resort Manager, you will ensure a seamless guest
experience, manage day-to-day operations, support staff, and contribute to the overall success of
the property. Your leadership and passion for hospitality will inspire the team to go above and
beyond, creating memorable stays for our guests.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing all aspects of resort operations, including guest services, housekeeping,
maintenance, and administrative duties.
• Provide exceptional service and promptly address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns
to ensure satisfaction.
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work
environment.
• Monitor and maintain the resort's appearance, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic
standards are consistently met.
• Oversee scheduling and staffing to ensure optimal coverage and efficient operations.
• Act as the Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the Resort Manager.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in hotel, resort, or hospitality management (minimum 2–3 years in a
leadership role).
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive problem-solver with a guest-first mindset.
• Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
• Knowledge of Salt Spring Island and local attractions is an asset.
