Here's a bit about Jim;
I have been a volunteer in many roles including running the Fall Fair Demonstration tent with my wife, Sheri, for 5 years, and the Emergency Services POD leader for the Duck Creek POD for the past 3 years.
I am currently involved with the promotion of Electric Vehicles on Salt Spring. I track the ownership of EV's, work with a team to promote additional Level 2 chargers on our island and am the coordinator of the EV car show on July 24 and 25.
What brought you to Salt Spring Island?
A friend with a yacht.
What one thing about Salt Spring would you tell someone who has never visited the island?
We are a kind, compassionate and generous folk. The crime rate is close to zero which is very comfortable.
If you had a magic Salt Spring wand, what island thing would you change?
Neighbourhood pubs in Fulford and Vesuvius and the completion of the Ganges to Moby's Boardwalk.
Which well known person, living or dead, do you think would be a good addition to the island?
Stehen Lewis or Lester Pearson.
Is there a special project, business or initiative you are working on that islanders should know about?
The Electric Vehicle Car Show on July 24 and 25, 2015. Electric cars, bikes, drones, and solar trailers. Fun for everyone.
