Are We Heading Towards Nuclear War?

With missile tests and nuclear threats, how dangerous is North Korea and, for that matter, Donald Trump? Are sanctions against North Korea having any effect? What might China and Russia do if the crisis worsens?

Last week, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists moved the Doomsday Clock two minutes from midnight as the threat of nuclear warfare has escalated. How likely is a nuclear war?

To help us understand the North Korea crisis and much more, the Salt Spring Forum hosts Alex Butterfield who, until recently, was one of the most senior defence intelligence officers in the United States. The event takes place this Thursday, February 1st at 7:30 PM at ArtSpring.
