The Tuesday Market is in the final leg of the season, with only 4 more markets until we close up shop. Show your support for local agriculture and small businesses by shopping with us this month at the market. Vendors you will find there this month include Duck Creek Farm, Windsor Farm, Nance Bakes, Salt Spring Sprouts & Mushrooms, Heyday Farm, Backwoods Farm, We Are What We Eat, Salt Spring Herbs, and Salt Spring Shine.
Perhaps you're wondering what the selection is like. Well! There's lots to choose from at this time of year, such as:
heirloom tomatoes, sweet peppers, carrots, beets, potatoes, squash, sweet corn, fennel, poblanos, leeks, grapes, plums, shishito peppers, eggplant, shiitake & oyster mushrooms, so many fresh herbs and greens and even more.
Apple season means Duck Creek will be bringing their fresh pressed cider this month. You can find Heyday Farm's gorgeous bouquets at the market until the end of the season. Windsor Farm raises their own animals and you can purchase meat from them directly at the market each week. Nance Bakes is a new vendor this year and has been a powerhouse, bringing a selection of bread loaves, sweet and savoury baking every week. Salt Spring Herbs is at the market each week with a huge selection of high quality hand crafted teas and herbal products.
Come down to Centennial Park any Tuesday this month, from 1:30 - 5:30 pm to do some shopping and connect with your local food community.
