I have annoying (to me) clothing needs, and prefer to have a small number of well-made items, which are often either homemade by myself or my partner, or custom sourced from small manufacturers elsewhere.

I'm hoping to find someone local who enjoys sewing, is comfortable working with unfamiliar patterns, and possibly has some interest in additional tailoring and alterations work as needed. I would provide fabric (usually natural fibres, and often heavier weight) and patterns. If you're skilled at garment duplication from a reference item, even better.

I'd probably just be looking for a handful of items a year, and I understand that time is valuable and sewing is a skilled craft. I'm open to working with someone who either wants to bid on a project rate or to work hourly. If doing multiple garments from the same pattern is more enjoyable or efficient for you, I can work with that! I understand it may take a few cycles for us to both feel like we've worked out the right price, too. (I hope I've said the right things there to signpost that I'm not someone who imagines custom-sewn clothes are quick and cheap!)
