Tuesday (September 1) 1-2 p.m. On This Song, That Time, this week’s show is about superstitions. Host Lesley Grott will play music and talk about the history of some common superstitions and why we continue to pay heed to them despite logic. Show re-airs Thursdays at 1 pm and Saturdays at 1 pm.

Tuesday (September 1) 4-5 p.m. On Dr Jeff’s Natural Vet Broadcast, host Dr. Jeff Crognet shares how to do CPR in your cat or dog. You will hear how to recognize when your friend is in cardiopulmonary arrest and then how to perform basic life support CPR, including using The Bee Gee's “Stayin' Alive” to do correct compressions and rescue breaths. Find out how to do mouth-to-snout breaths and how far you need to compress the chest, and importantly, when to stop CPR. Show re-airs Fridays at 4 p.m.

Wednesday (September 2) 6-8 p.m. On Salt Spring Sessions, host Sima Rehn presents a recording of powerhouse soprano Measha Brueggergosman-Lee performing at ArtSpring this past February. This sold-out show closed out her immersive, week-long artist residency at ArtSpring celebrating Black History Month. Measha schools Salt Spring with her deep connections to the Soul of Gospel. The concert also features local choir Viva Chorale and a local horn section. Replay the experience with Blair Francis’ amazing multi-track recording and production. Not to be missed! Wednesday (September 2) 8–9 p.m. On It's About Story Time with host AmanDa Bapty, an hour of songs and poems about back-to-school, fresh starts, new friends, reunions with old friends, and sharing stories about our summer vacations. AmanDa mixes music and verse keeping return-to-routine in mind. Show re-airs Thursdays at 1 pm and Saturdays at 1 pm.
Thursday (September 3) 10-11 a.m. On Check it Out, host Cecilia Low shares here conversation with Anna Byrne, author of “Seven Year Summer” and “The Last Caravan.” Anna wrote her first book, “Seven Year Summer,” to help her process her journey with cancer. It was named a finalist in the Whistler Independent Book Awards and then became an audio book narrated by LA-based actor, composer, and filmmaker Jacqueline Kim. In “The Last Caravan,” Anna shares the story of how a community came together to support Anna's friend Mary Morgan as she navigated the end of life.
