Monday (April 27) 8 a.m. Alltold: Revisiting an interview with local filmmaker Omid Pakbin on the current situation in Iran. Alltold is a regular Tuesday segment addressing questions of global import, human rights, international law, and truth and reconciliation during the second hour of the weekday Morningtide show hosted by Dan Miller.

Tuesday (April 28) 10-11 a.m: On TRUpreneur, host David Crouch interviews long-time SSI resident Holly MacDonald about her e-learning business Spark and Co.

Wednesday (April 29) 6-8 p.m: On Saltspring Sessions, a recording from this February at ArtSpring of Zombie Blizzard, an intimate and powerful collaboration between soprano Measha Brueggergosman-Lee, author Margaret Atwood, and composer Aaron Davis drawing from the seven poems of Atwood’s 2020 poetry collection Dearly. This evocative project blends classical and jazz idioms to explore grief, gender, humour, and survival in a changing world. With Atwood’s voice featured in recorded recitations, the electric live music from a jazz trio, and Measha’s luminous interpretations of Davis’ settings, Zombie Blizzard is a spellbinding meditation on the art of resilience. Hosted by Sima Rehn, this week’s show includes an interview with Davis about the collaboration.

Friday (May 1) 5-6 p.m.: On Archipelager Hour this week, hosts Robin Jenkinson and Ryan Dentry take you on a voyage to the San Juan Islands, our extended archipelago to the south. They will share adventures and interviews from the 20th annual Tour de Lopez, tiny Canoe Island, and other salty characters along the way.
