Tuesday (July 14) 1-2 p.m. On This Song, That Time, Lesley Grott plays music from Scotland, where she recently traveled. Scotland and Salt Spring have some things in common such as similar weather and a love of music. Show re-airs Thursdays at 1 pm and Saturdays at 1 pm

Wednesday (July 15) 8-9 p.m. On It's About Story Time, host AmanDa Bapty turns the mic toward the people who show up for the rest of us. This week's episode, The Ones Who Show Up, is a thank you in music and poetry to neighbours, volunteers, and everyday helpers, the kind of care that's easy to miss until you're the one leaning on it. A gentle, grateful hour, and a good reminder that none of us get through the hard stretches alone. The show re-airs Sundays at 4 p.m. and Tuesdays at 8 p.m
Thursday (July 16) 10-11 a.m. On Check it Out, host Cecilia Low will feature a conversation with author and Victoria resident Laurel Corona (whose friends know her as Laurel Weeks). She is an author of historical fiction, a lecturer on cruise ships and a retired college professor. “Aloha Wanderwell” is her sixth book.

Headline Hunters: Headline Hunters, which airs Thursdays 4-5 pm and repeats the following Tuesday at 9-10 a.m . is a new local show on CHIR-FM, featuring e retired journalists Damian Inwood and Paul McElroy giving their unique take on the stories that are important to Salt Spring Island, Canada and the world.
