Lindsay Whalen is a Yoga Teacher / Therapist practicing and teaching for 38 years. She is registered with Yoga Alliance (YA) and the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). She brings to her classes an innovative approach based upon her original training in Iyengar Yoga and the apprenticeship / mentorship model of teacher training.

This approach to yoga is set up to encourage you to work at your own level of ability and awareness, no matter where you are, at this stage of life. A grounded, therapeutic approach emphasizing alignment, how to stretch safely and wisely, strength, breath awareness, deep relaxation and restorative poses offer the practitioner a balanced and
integrated approach to yoga.
*Private Yoga Therapy
This therapy is offered on a one to one basis to facilitate in the healing process for conditions, ailments and disease. The goal of the yoga therapist is to carefully assess and identify the root cause of the problem or area of concern and offer a practical and specific practice which can be integrated into daily life.
Yoga Therapy works with classical poses which have been adapted, modified and adjusted in careful consideration of the individual conditions, ailments and dis-ease. Breath awareness, deep relaxation and specific emphasis on restorative poses are offered as an integrated approach to this healing modality.
*Teacher Training (ongoing learning) for those with an E-RYT 200, 500 or 1000 hour certificate,
Classes are set up to address and assist the primary teacher in Ongoing Learning in the Mentorship / Apprenticeship model of teacher training. The focus of this Ongoing Learning is to deepen awareness and understanding from a therapeutic perspective working with students in Public and Private classes.
