Please join us in welcoming Registered Clinical Counsellor Alysha Punnett, MA to Madrona Integrative Health, in practice with Dr. Hannah Webb, ND, Dr. Kate Shertzer, ND, DC, Vanya LaPorte, MA, RCC, Tali Weinberg, R.Ac, and the Salt Spring Midwives.
Alysha creates a warm, gentle, compassionate space of holding and care. She has been described by clients as someone who keeps it real; she’s easy to talk to, empathic, and funny.
Clients most often come to see Alysha when they are seeking to gain deeper awareness and insight into their relationship with themselves and others, to find personal freedom from patterns of coping that are no longer serving them, and to integrate traumatic or stressful life experiences. She uses the tools of Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy to support her clients in bringing regulation to their nervous systems and awareness to their relational patterns, which helps increase their capacity to meet the challenges that life brings with a clear mind and connected heart.
Areas of focus in her practice include relationships, relational and/or incident-based trauma, reconnecting to an embodied sense of self trust, menstrual cycle mood and energy, and activism burnout.
In addition to supporting individuals, Alysha is also active in spaces of collective healing. She is currently lead organizer and facilitator of debrief/integration groups for frontline activists and is the lead creator/facilitator for UBC Okanagan’s Love & Learning: Nurturing Relationship With Self and Others, a trauma-informed group for survivors of sexualized violence dedicated to learning about and practicing relating skills including nervous system regulation, self-compassion, boundaries and communication.
We’re very excited that Alysha will be bringing her counselling practice to us here at Madrona.
