Hello beautiful Salt Spring community,
We’re so happy to be writing this.
After many months of steadfast work behind the scenes, we’re incredibly excited to share that our shop- W O V E N Curated Goods- along with W O V E N Architecture and Design, has officially opened.
This space holds a 20-year dream between the two of us, Genevieve and Julian. What once lived as separate visions- a small atelier and an architecture studio- has now come together under one roof: a place where design, craft, and everyday living meet.
Over the past months, we have poured ourselves into every inch of this space. Built almost entirely by our own hands, shaped slowly and with care, it has been a true labour of love. Alongside the build, we’ve been curating a collection of goods that extends far beyond what’s currently online; natural skincare, clothing, kids, pantry goods, objects for the home, and pieces made by thoughtful makers around the world.
Our curation is guided by intention- prioritizing small production, ethical labour, clean ingredients, and mindful, lower-impact ways of making. We seek out goods with transparency in their sourcing and a respect for both people and the earth. Items to live with, to gift, and to pass down, alongside everyday essentials done beautifully, ethically, and with care.
Bringing this space to life has asked a lot of us, long days, long nights, many sacrifices, and a deep leap of faith, but standing in the shop now, we feel nothing but gratitude. We are so proud of what we’ve created and so grateful to share it with this wonderful community.
Our hope is that this becomes more than just a retail space. We are building a place for connection, a small hub for design lovers, for our community, and for anyone who feels drawn to it.
