GIVE YOUR HEAD A SHAKE!!! This is beyond comprehension, up on Chanel Ridge folks are picking up their dog's deposits and instead of taking them home or at the very least flicking them into the bush to decompose which is actually not a great idea because other creatures could consume them and get sick, people are depositing poop filled plastic bags at the side of the trail and by the large Information sign at the entrance of the trail network. ( the sign actually askes you to pack it out) Even though these bags that are marketed as " Compostable" or "Biodegradable" they actually aren't as green as we are led to believe, they break down into micro plastics and in an oxygen starved landfill these bags do no biodegrade, they mummify and release methane, a greenhouse gas as they slowly decompose over decades. The alternative is to either take them home and bury them or bury them in the woods. Not quite sure what the thought process is here, are you under the illusion that someone else is going to pick up the bags of poop, perhaps the park staff who are paid by our tax payer $$. Maybe you feel you've done your bit for the environment by bagging the crap but are at a loss to figure out what to do with it next! I can just see a great Monty Python skit here with the "Enviro Cowboy Twits" in the leading rolls.
