Join Artist in Residence Joyce Majinski for an evening talk about her work. Thursday, January 16th from 5-7pm at Mahon Hall Printmaker, Painter, Sculptor ( Former Biologist and Wilderness Guide), Joyce is well traveled having led a nomadic life from Borneo to the Kashmire, the Great Barrier Reef and the Beaufort Sea. She now resides in White Horse. While on Salt Spring Island Joyce will create a skeleton of a whale made from found beach plastics. Join her to hear about this exciting project and how she is working with local whale skeleton restorers to create this piece. www.joycemajiski.ca
Joyce is also offering an Accordian Book-Making workshop - Feb. 22+23 from 10-4pm at Mahon Hall. $195 includes all materials.
