Salt Spring Islanders have an opportunity to show their appreciation to the Salt Spring Vaccination Clinic Nurses and Health Care Workers for their many hours of dedicated hard work caring for our community.
Islanders are being invited to show appreciation while also supporting local businesses and community organizations. Be Thankful organizers, have arranged with the Island COMEBACK gift certificate program for gift certificates to be donated to our local vaccination clinic and gifted to all those working on the frontlines.
It’s easy to show thanks – visit https://islandcomeback.ca/islands/salt-spring/ to view the list of local businesses; choose one and as directed in the shopping cart send it to this email: email@example.com
All the gift certificates will be collected by August 1st and ‘gifted’ off to the Covid Vaccination Clinic workers by the Island Health Covid Manager, Cali Chang.
David Norget, Co-Chair of the SS Health Network says: the “Salt Spring Covid vaccination clinic workers have been willing to work long hours, outside of their regular duties. They have listened to many islander’s stories and have helped to promote a healthy resilience during these difficult times. I’m glad we have a positive way to show recognition of their care while also supporting local businesses.”
Kisae Petersen, Executive Director of Islanders Working Against Violence says: “I’m deeply grateful to the Salt Spring Vaccination Team for their dedication and kindness to create a welcome and efficient vaccination process for our community. Many thanks as well to all the health workers who reached out to connect with people at the food bank and in the park, to ensure access for all. The Be Thankful program is a great way to give back to the vaccination team for their impressive services.”
