Shoe Repair Service
|Full Name||John Shepherd|
|Location||320A Upper Ganges Road (behind the Home Design Centre)|
Dear Salt Spring,
Since opening Shepherd Shoes on Upper Ganges Road, three years ago, I have enjoyed helping many in the community with their shoe and leather repairs and other projects. Over 2,500 repairs have been done. It brings me great satisfaction to be of service on this island, and I am incredibly grateful for the support I have received.
My original intention was to provide repair services to the local community while also designing and handcrafting new shoes and leather goods. Creating and working with leather is a passion of mine. I have no plans of stopping my repair services on the island, but I do need to carve out more time for pursuing other ambitions that include selling leather goods locally, developing a shoe and accessories collection, and offering leatherwork classes.*
Moreover, this extra time will allow me to fully catch up on current repair work.
The repair service will continue, but starting January 2020, I will be managing my time in a new way that allows for my other business ideas to take life.
With this said, I will pause the repairs side of the business from December 15th until April 1st.
Bring your repairs in before December 15th. I look forward to repairing your boots, shoes, sandals, purses, wallets, backpacks, belts, dog leashes, horse tack, bellows, and anything else you need done. After December 15th, repairs will be accepted again starting April 1st, in time for summer. Thank you for your understanding.
*If you are interested in learning to make your own backpack or other leather project, please email me, and I will be sure to send you an update once the first workshop has been organized.
