To The Community of Salt Spring,
Over the years my family has come and visited your beautiful island, we share many fond memories together, here. My sister, in particular, finds great peace here on the island.
Sadly, my sister was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 21 after suffering a grand mal seizure on Thanksgiving in 2016 and being rushed to hospital.
Recently, we received word that her oncologist and the rest of her medical team would like to send her to the United States for medical treatment, treatment that is not available in Canada. As you can imagine this will come at an exorbitant cost.
Unfortunately, we need some help to rally behind my sister, Tashina. Together, as a team, we can stand behind someone in need and truly make a difference – a difference that can make a profound impact and save a life.
In November, I will be hosting a fundraiser/gala & live art auction for her.
We are seeking donations by local artists, so that we can auction them off at our fundraising event. Additionally, we are also hosting a silent auction. If you would like to donate any items for a basket, I would also be incredibly grateful. All proceeds will be going to Tashina’s lifesaving treatment. All donors will be acknowledged at the event.
For more information or if you would like to donate please visit her GoFundMe page
On behalf of my sister, Tashina, and the rest of my family thank you for your time and consideration.
