Leigh Anne Milne – Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and Certified Yoga Therapist, Leigh began her journey with Iyengar yoga in the early 1980’s and fell in love with this intelligent approach to body mind awareness; as her practice deepened the spiritual benefits became increasingly important. As a registered massage therapist (RMT), a certified Iyengar method yoga teacher and past Personal Trainer, Leigh has found the combined knowledge of yoga, health care, the anatomy of the body and sports physiology to be a rich foundation for her holistic practice.
Leigh Anne is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and Certified Yoga Therapist and a recognized teacher of teachers with Yoga Alliance.
Leigh was trained as an RMT in British Columbia in 1990 and has since been a registered massage therapist in BC, Ontario, Hawaii, and Nova Scotia, Canada. She is the founder of a health and wellness clinic in Victoria still in operation under new ownership.
Leigh Anne’s skills as an Iyengar Yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and massage therapist allow Leigh to broaden her role as a health and wellness facilitator. She has traveled to India on more than eight occasions to study yoga at the Iyengar Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, and most recently in January 2015, 2016 and 2017 to study yoga for addiction support and recovery in Goa, India.
Leigh has published articles on both massage therapy and yoga and has taught clinic practicum, neuromuscular therapy, and anatomy at massage therapy schools in Canada and in Hawaii. She has a special interest in working with chronic pain patients and addiction support. Both yoga and massage therapy can assist people in coming to a state of wholeness and equanimity.
Leigh Anne has recently relocated to Salt Spring Island.
This is a return to the west coast and Salt Spring Island for us. In 1984 my daughter was born on SSI, we were living on Saturna at the time but she decided to be born here on SSI, lol.
I’m so pleased to be back here in what already feels like home, and I look forward to meeting and working with you. Please call or email to inquire about how we can work together.
Yours in health!
