    The Opportunity
    Slegg Building Materials Salt Spring is currently seeking a Full-Time Receiver.

    Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
    (Include but are not limited to the following)

    •Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
    •Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities
    •Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy
    •Receive incoming freight into system
    •Tag product for special orders
    •Prepare paperwork for payables
    •Stock shelves, fill displays
    •Ensure accurate product labeling
    •Counting and scanning is a must to maintain accuracy of inventory
    •Department cleanliness and store maintenance
    •Receive, store, organize and rotate stock
    •Maintain accuracy of inventory by thoroughly reviewing packing slips
    •Resolve damaged product issues
    •Process transfers for shipments going to other locations
    •Return to vendor maintenance and control

    Required Skills and Qualifications
    •A broad knowledge of building supplies is necessary
    •Competent with Microsoft Office Suite- including Word, Excel & Outlook
    •Detail orientated with disciplined work habits
    •A positive can do attitude is essential
