We have a 5 acre farm on the Salt Spring Wild cidery property called Sharp Road Farm and we are looking for someone to do the following casual contract work:

Weedwhacking the rows between the orchard,
Weedwhacking verges and all other areas on the property
Weedwhacking picnic area of cidery
Managing overgrowth of blackberry and weeds and keeping fencelines and property clear of blackberry
Allow native plants and flowers to grow and bloom contributing to the overall beauty of the property
Occasionally manage overgrowth of broom
Stake apple trees and use cardboard and mulch to cover tree bases
Occasional transplanting of trees and removal of dead ones
Removal of pruned branches in the spring
Fill potholes that occasionally crop up
Move soil as needed, if needed
Move firewood into shed in the fall.
General clean-up and maintenance of the property
Repair irrigation if needed
Fill gas tanks as needed

We estimate this to be roughly 6 hours of work/week during peak times with less or no weedwhacking needed in the winter months or during the hot summer when growth slows.
