WHAT I DO (IN VANYA’S WORDS)...
My work is informed by Hakomi Therapy and deep nature connection work with the 8 Shields mentorship model. Over the last ten years, I have been honoured to witness the healing journeys of many people who have been rediscovering their own gifts and resilience with my support. The Hakomi Method, a form of mindful, somatic psychotherapy has given me the tools to assist people in discovering their strengths, process their grief, and then move into the inspiring and supported life they are longing for. Deep nature connection work has allowed me to go from being a “tourist in the forest” to a mentor that guides others to cultivate a deep understanding and meaningful relationship with themselves, others, and the natural world.
I provide my counselling services to adults both inside a cosy office space at Madrona Integrative Health Centre and outside in inspiring places in nature on Salt Spring Island and Victoria, B.C. I also provide my services online through video telehealth to anyone in British Columbia.
