The basil is growing like crazy in the greenhouse. Perhaps you've got tons of garlic scapes left in your fridge and are unsure what to do with them.

Let's turn that bounty into healthy, delicious pesto!

Join Ori Haimovici, author of Radiant Dips, for a magical pesto creation workshop at The Root. He is excited to share his favorite recipes with you, including fresh basil pesto and garlic scape pesto. He'll show you all the tips and tricks that he learned over the years, for creating the most flavorful pestos possible. Now you too can prepare these radiant dips at home and share them with your loved ones.

All ingredients and supplies will be provided for the workshop.

For a long time, Ori has been fascinated by the journey of our food, from seed to plate. Determined to learn how to grow his own veggies, he decided to move to Salt Spring Island in 2015 to complete a farming internship at Earth Candy Farm. Shortly after, he founded a food business called Radiant Eats, which focused on healthy dips and spreads. He was a vendor at the Tuesday and Saturday farmers markets on Salt Spring until 2021. He was also a vendor at the Fall/Winter market in Duncan, BC for 3 years. He hopes to inspire as many people as possible to transform their health and make the world a yummier place.
