    Item Description:

    Hello Salt Springers,
We’re a professional couple in need of a new home on the island. We’re great tenants, have excellent references and the only reason we have to move is because the house we’ve been in for the last three years has been sold, which means a move out date of April 1 or before.

At this point, we’re trying to deal with the usual Salt Spring housing crunch with a good sense of humour. I would start out by saying that we’d love to have a house that had the following (2 – 3 bedrooms, a garage, a wood stove/fireplace, garden, a bath and shower) and is for the longer term. However if nothing comes up, four walls might start looking like a huge plus!

We’ve been both home owners and renters and know what it means to take care of a property. We’re at the empty nester stage of life with three kids now in their twenties who while they don’t live with us, do visit here and there to check in with old mom and dad to tell us what we should be doing.

We also come with a very cute non shedding miniature dachshund who’s hilarious and quickly wins over people’s hearts. He’s no trouble but to be honest, we should probably avoid a house with chickens, as I would hate to ruin their day.

If you have any leads or a house to offer, we would love to meet you. You can get a hold of us at 250 931-3931 or through email. Thanks so much for your time. Anna

I waited, hoping to see that the forecast cold would be moderated by a warmer weather system as the last one was—but it hasn’t happened. The predicted cold weather, starting Sunday or Monday is for extreme lows over the next 3-5 days that would be very damaging this late in the winter. All around the […]
