My 12 yr old son, Gabriel ( in pic with my Daughter and Granddaughter) and I , are looking for our next home. The farm we live on is about to be sold , though we may have several months grace. I am open to renting ( or possibly buying , renting to own), but honestly can afford to rent a nicer place than I could straight forwardly buy. I am a former home owner and we are respectful and tidy with our environment.
I am hoping, and willing for, a really special abode and environs to see Gabe through these nodal years , and for me to nurture my creative sixties in . Anything from two bedrooms to much larger is of interest. My adult Down's syndrome son , Ady ( toasting you with a glass of beer ), visits from his farm community near Duncan. And my Daughter, and Grandkids , visit from the far north as they may. I am also open to sharing with the right folks, and co-living/parenting/creating.
I am an almost retired teacher (Waldorf, Public, First Nations) , consultant, and part time professional garden designer and creator on island. Gabe is currently in MYSEEC, the environmental ed. program at the middle school , and we are both very active, outdoorsy, and creative in the kitchen, garden and art studio. We love water activities and dock, beach, access would be well used. We are both seasoned Gardeners, and Animal stewards, so garden and/or land is important.
We are drawn to the elements and love Schubart type architecture that dances with light, wood, stone and warmth. Fire for cooking ,heat, and ambience is an unattached preference. I am financially stable, and happy to pay in advance. We have very good references.
I am also a lateral thinker and am open to creative land and home creation or sharing. Either renting or buying. Or a combo ! A sense of community building is strong in us.
