I’m Brett and I am available for a wide variety of services– I have work experience in and can help with:

General garden & grounds work:
• Garden help — weeding, trimming, bed prep (mulching, soil turning, light planting), etc
• Invasives removal — blackberry, ivy, broom (best done in winter but fall bookings open)
• Brush clearing & overgrowth control — light Firesmarting (no hazard tree work)
• Fall cleanup — leaves, branches, debris, path clearing
• Firewood stacking, moving, organizing

Rates:
• Regular help: $40/hr
• Heavier labour (invasives removal, heavy hauling, splitting wood, tougher jobs): up to $50/hr
• Minimum booking: 2 hours

Tools:
I can usually work with your tools if you’ve got them. If a job needs something extra, and so long as the tool fits in my car, I can often rent it from The Rental Stop and add the cost to the bill.

Additional & Future Services:
• General help jobs — $40/hr: Basic carpentry help, painting & staining, window washing, tech support, deliveries/pickups, furniture assembly, small moving help, deer‑proofing, rainwater system help, etc.
• Future services (pending demand & insurance): Gutter cleaning (single‑storey), roof moss removal (single‑storey, low pitch), and pet/animal care. If you’re interested in any of theses services, let me know — I’m gauging demand.

I am reliable, self-motivated, and I have a strong work ethic with a natural focus on quality workmanship and detail. I value clear and respectful communication to ensure that any work I do will meet/exceed your expectations.

My spouse and I moved to Salt Spring last year from the big city. I am a music creator and have been working here on the island as a groundskeeper and dock builder's assistant.
