Salt Spring Skatepark Society and Gulf Island Secondary School in collaboration with the Natural Stance are excited to welcome you to our first ever full-day Youth Skateboarding Day!

July 31st @ noon

What to expect:
- Skateboard building workshops. Assemble your own skateboard that you get to keep (for free!)
- Skateboarding lessons. Learn fundamental skateboarding basics from top professional skateboarders like Chris Haslam
- Skateboarding demos. See our local park shredded by pro skaters!
- BBQ - free community BBQ sponsored by Country Grocer
- Mental health conversations. Find healthy ways to navigate the tricky stuff

This whole event is being offered free of charge!

So come on down to the Kanaka Road Skatepark THIS FRIDAY July 31st from noon - 5pm and get hooked on a fun and healthy new hobby.

*Workshop space and skateboards are limited so priority goes to youths ages 12-18
