Family Adventures in Nature has returned this summer to the Blackburn Lake Nature Reserve! The program is led by Reed Osler, the Stewards in Training Coordinator, along with volunteers. These free family drop-in events will focus on a number of different nature themes from beavers to birds and will include fun crafts, games and activities for you and your family. Programs are for children ages 3-12. Kids, bring your adults!
Wednesday, August 3 - Going Buggy!
Make bug snacks, sing bug songs, hunt for bugs, observe pond life.
Sunday August 7 - Batty over Bats!
Bust bat myths, play bat games, look for bat homes – learn all about bats.
Wednesday August 17 - All about birds!
Bird games, bird scavenger hunt and more!
Sunday August 28 – Busy as a beaver!
Learn about beavers, search for beaver signs and make a track.
