    In this workshop, students will be taught how to successfully create
    realistic drawings using observational drawing techniques. This
    course will cover shading, blending, accuracy in proportion, value
    and composition. All abilities welcome.
    Instructor: Jeannette Sirois

    Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm

    Location: Creekside Meeting Room

    This class is an introduction to the artistic possibilities of photography
    and how to get off“auto.”Based on the interest of the group, topics
    will include portraits, landscapes, still life and basic lighting. A digital
    DSLR camera is required but not a professional level one.

    Fridays 7-9pm
    Feb 16-Mar 16
    Location: Portlock Park Portable

    Gain confidence in your ability to move with the music and a
    partner in this social ballroom dance class. Refresh your foxtrot
    and try your hand at fusion swing etc. Instruction will be catered
    to the interest of the class. Each practice will include 1 hour of
    instruction followed by dance practice. The lesson is suited for
    couples, so try to bring a dance partner.

    Apr 6-May 4
    Location: Portlock Park Portable

    The Nightclub Two Step is a great alternative for people who
    want to go beyond a simple slow dance with their partner. Learn
    two-step patterns to a range of music including country, easy
    listening, smooth jazz and R&B. Each practice will include 1 hour
    of instruction followed by dance practice. The lesson is suited for
    couples, so try to bring a dance partner.
