Dr. William Rees- developer of the 'eco-footprint'
|Organizer||The Salt Spring Forum|
Can we create a sustainable planet in time to check the extremes of Climate Change?
Bill Rees is well known as the developer of the 'eco-footprint analysis" now used around the world to measure human's impact on the Earth. He has recently been working on 'Eco-overshoot' the rate at which we are using up the planet's natural resources beyond the rate at which they can be regenerated.
He is a self-proclaimed Climate Change realist- a professor emeritus and former director of UBC's school of community and regional planning, and the author of many articles, books and papers.
