In 2020, the Salt Spring Arts Council has been delivering a special project to bring art therapy to persons with disability (PWD) on Salt Spring Island. The project is supported by the Disability Alliance of British Columbia and has allowed us to work in partnership with G.I.F.T.S., Choices, GISS, as well as other community organizations. The Project is delivered by Art Therapist Stefanie Denz with support from Talia Peckel.
The Salt Spring Arts Council is excited to be showcase participant’s artwork again in the Annex Gallery, at Mahon Hall during Artcraft Winter, November 20-December 22. ‘creative expressions, winter’ is a wonderful opportunity for the artists to build pride and confidence by sharing their work publicly, and for the community to get to know Persons with Disability in a rich and deeper way.
