I’m a Salt Spring Island based construction / architectural designer offering custom CAD and Revit plans for all types of projects. I've been a Red Seal Carpenter and a local contractor for 10 years. I design homes under 6400 square feet to meet braced wall panel and span requirements, avoiding additional costly design expenses. I can take your project through the Islands Trust and CRD review process. As a carpenter who has been designing and building for a long time, I hold the big picture with the awareness of the minor details of the project.

I offer drafting and/or design services to contractors and homeowners such as:
-Single family dwellings
-Auxiliary buildings such as studios, garages and secondary suites.
-Additions
-Decks
-Kitchen, bathroom and general renovations
-Site plans

-Homeowners may choose to create drawings of their project to present to contractors to receive quotes. If requested, I will then work with the contractor on the project to make changes or revisions when requested by the client. Homeowners may also want to create a drawing for a future or concept project, so they may gain an understanding of the scale of work and the presence of the structure on their property.

-For the life of a busy contractor, it can be difficult to find the time to prepare all the drawings for the various projects at hand. Having a reliable draftsperson on your projects will give your clients the drawings to officially approve of and your employees the detailed plans to do the work efficiently and accurately. This greatly reduces the risk of errors that end up being the contractor's expense. Just like your regular plumber and electrician who is there when you need them to be, I will also be available to work with you with your projects. Whether it's with drafting or working with you and your clients on the design of their project, I'm fully comfortable in that setting having done it for many years. And as the contractor you will always be involved in the design and its approval, as you will be doing the work.
