Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that incorporates movement, music, acrobatics and self-defence. It's a really fun way to develop fitness, strength, agility and musical skill for both adults and kids! Come experience this unique art as part of the world renowned Axé Capoeira group founded by the pioneer of Capoeira in Canada Mestre Barrão.

My name is Arnaud, I've trained in Capoeira for over 8 years and I'm really happy to be starting classes here on Salt Spring supported by my teacher Mestre Testa, leader of Axé Capoeira Victoria, who I continue to train with regularly.

I'll be starting off August 18th with an adult/family class every Tuesday 5:30pm - 7pm in the dance room at Salt Spring Island Multi Space. More classes for kids and adults will be added in the Fall.

All children must attend with a participating parent. Mature older teens may participate as adults.

FIRST CLASS IS FREE!

Beginners welcome and encouraged!

Drop-in: $20 - Additional family members $15

Adults: $50/mo - Additional family members (adults or children): $40/mo
