ALL THE THINGS WE SAID ON THE LINE
ALEXANDRA BOX ― AIR ARTIST
Jun 10 | 7 PM ― 8PM
This talk will cover the linkages of being an artist and writer. Having pursued several positions in book lending, selling, and making initiatives, Alexandra approaches writing as an extension of this trade. Alexandra’s writing has been published by various independent publishing initiatives across Canada and internationally. Looking at the work Alexandra produced during her residency at Point Gallery with SSAC, she will delve into what was gathered and learned from the collection of 50 books consisting of anthologies, pamphlets, periodicals, poetry, many of which are canlit and women-authored from the 1970s-1980s. Join for an evening of reflection. If you own a title—or have a favourite—from this era that was independently published, please bring this (digitally) along with a story of how and when you acquired it.
