Artist Meet and Greet
|Date||Saturday, October 12|
|Start Time||2 pm|
|Event Length||2 hours|
You're invited to join this month's photo exhibitor, Heather Pardon, at the Fernwood Road Cafe to chat about her display, which provokes thought and conversation around the symbolism and meaning of doors in our lives. Heather's photos will adorn the walls of the cafe until October 19th.
About the Photographer:
Heather Pardon is a six-year veteran of Salt Spring Island, an author, life coach, a bunch of other things and a recreational photographer. Mostly Heather enjoys the
challenge of capturing moments or objects of meaning
in a way that will engage our shared human connection.
The door photos in this exhibit were taken during a trip to Udaipur, in the Rajasthan state of northern India, in the spring of 2018. The photos are mounted on spindles of an old barrel planter and make great pieces to hang anywhere in your home or to give as a gift.
In November 2019, Heather is heading to Nepal to participate in the Original Everest Marathon, a 26.2 mile charity marathon and trek organized by Community Action Nepal (CAN). CAN is a UK-based charity which engages in sustainable community development projects in the mountain regions of Nepal. A portion of proceeds will be donated to support the work of CAN.
