2026 Summer Art Camps for Kids @ Seadragon Studio
We'd love to welcome your young creator this summer!
Seadragon Studio summer camps are designed to offer children a rich, hands-on creative experience using high-quality art materials, recycled and natural resources, and thoughtfully guided projects. Camps blend skill-building with imagination, play, and outdoor exploration in a supportive small-group setting.
Crafty Cat Camp: July 20-24 (5 days) - Ages 7-10 - $425
Calling all cat lovers! This fun camp blends arts, crafts, storytelling, comic-making, science, and outdoor exploration into a playful hands-on experience. Campers create a collection of cat-themed treasures such as a zine, decoupage box, masks, cat toys, screen prints, and magical “Cat-leidoscopes.” A purr-fect week of creativity, friendship, and feline-inspired fun!
The Magic Book: August 31-Sept 3 (4 days) - Ages 7-10 - $340
Step into a world of stories and magic. In this fantasy-filled camp, children explore the art of books and letters through hands-on creating and imaginative play. Campers will experiment with papermaking, bookbinding, calligraphy, mail art, drawing, and more while crafting their own handmade books, magical artifacts, and keepsakes to treasure long after summer ends.
Camps run 9AM–3PM. Each day includes mindfulness activities, outdoor exploration, and nature-inspired creativity at Seadragon Studio in north Ganges. Sliding scale pricing spots are available for both camps. Each camp is limited to 10 kids.
ABOUT THE CAMP LEADER
Seadragon Studio camps are led by Megan Amaral, an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and community arts leader with over 20 years of experience designing and leading creative programs for children, youth, and adults. Her work spans visual arts, craft traditions, digital media, community arts, and arts education, with roles at organizations including Salt Spring Arts Council, VIVO Media Arts Centre, and California College of the Arts.
