Salt Spring Library

SALT SPRING ISLAND, B.C. - In preparation for the move to the new library, the temporary library facilities located at 118 Jackson Avenue will be permanently closed at 5pm on Saturday November 24th, 2012. The new library, located at 129 McPhillips Avenue, is anticipated to open in mid-December. Details of the exact opening date will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Returns will not be accepted at either location until the library re-opens. Due to the move to the new library and the usual Christmas shut down by all public library interlibrary loan departments, the interlibrary loan service at the Salt Spring Public Library will be closed from November 24, 2012 to January 2, 2013. Borrowed ILL books should be returned on the indicated due date, and incoming books will be processed and patrons notified to pick them up when the new library opens.
